Hello St. Bernard Residents,
On behalf of the entire Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOL), we are honored to be the organization selected
to operate your new hospital. My name is Frank Folino and as the FMOL Project Leader, I look forward to helping the Hospital
Services District with this important recovery project in the parish.
Recently, FMOL transitioned the clinic located at
7718 West Judge Perez Dr. in Arabi to St. Charles Community Health Center. St. Charles CHC will continue to provide primary care services for adults and children with referals to several onsite specialists. The current hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7am to 11pm and weekends from 8am to 7pm.
FMOL is pleased to announce that Tim Burke (Tim.Burke@FMOLHS.org) has accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer for the new hospital. Tim started on April 11th and brings many years of healthcare experience to our leadership team. Tim and his wife are both former residents of St. Bernard Parish and he is looking forward to meeting with community leaders and residents as he get involved with this significant parish recovery project. Please join us as we welcome Tim back to the community with a reception on Thursday, May 26th from 5pm to 7pm at the Riverbend Bistro on St. Bernard Highway.
Planning for a new hospital is quite an exciting challenge. With the leadership and direction of the Hospital Service District Board, we are in the process of developing the organizational structure
and governance, reviewing the construction documents with the project manager (Hammes) and architects, recruiting physicians to practice
at the hospital, designing the medical office building and developing the hospital strategic plan.

Once we begin the recruitment and hiring process, we will contact you for an interview as appropriate. We are actively looking for exceptional people to join our leadership team while collecting and holding resumes for the other positions for future follow up. Please visit our booths at the Nunez Community College Job Fair on Wednesday, April 20th and the Hospital Service District's Job Fair on Saturday, August 6th - both to be held at the Civic Center.
If you are a prospective vendor and/or business partner, we will be utilizing a combination of RFP’s through the Times Picayune and St. Bernard Voice for procuring services, equipment and supplies.
